Family members and visitors can order a guest tray to be delivered to the patient's room for $8.50. You also may visit our cafeterias and Baguettes Lobby Café (Shea Medical Center) for hot meals, sandwiches, salads, Starbucks coffee and so much more. Parking at Osborn Medical Center
Patients and visitors can park in the garage, located on the northwest corner of Fourth Street and Drinkwater Boulevard, or in the surface parking lot located on Fourth Street, just north of the hospital. Public parking spaces are also available along the street with a two-hour time limit.
Parking at Shea Medical Center
Patients and visitors are welcome to park in the garage northeast of the hospital or in the south lot outside the main entrance. If either lot is full, more parking is available on the corner of Mountain View and Cochise Drive with a campus shuttle that will bring you to the entrance. To expedite a shuttle pickup, please call 480-882-6300.
Parking at Thompson Peak Hospital
Patients and visitors can park in the surface lot adjacent to the main entrance on the corner of Thompson Peak Parkway and Scottsdale Healthcare Drive.
Scottsdale Healthcare has adopted a philosophy of patient- and family-centered care. We want your family members and visitors to visit at times convenient to their schedules. We have no “posted” visiting hours, but some specialty areas may have restrictions. Your sensitivity and cooperation to these restrictions is greatly appreciated.
Hospital Access: Visitor Registration Enhances Safety
The visitor registration program at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center, Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center and Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital is designed to enhance the safety of staff, patients and families.
Shea Medical Center: From 8 p.m. - 4 a.m., all visitors are to enter through the main entrance. All other doors will be locked at 8 p.m. All visitors will sign in and a receive visitor badge listing their first name and patient room number. Visitor badges lose their access authorization after 24 hours. Anyone wearing an expired badge will need to re-register or leave the building.
Osborn Medical Center: From 8 p.m. - 5 a.m., all visitors are to enter through the emergency entrance. All other doors will be locked at 8 p.m. All visitors will sign in and receive a visitor badge listing their first name and patient room number. Visitor badges lose their access authorization after 24 hours. Anyone wearing an expired badge will need to re-register or leave the building.
Thompson Peak Hospital: From 11 p.m. - 4 a.m., all visitors are to enter through the emergency entrance. All other doors will be locked at 11 p.m. All visitors will sign in and receive a visitor badge listing their first name and patient room number. The Visitor badges are issued from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. by our concierge and from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. by Security in the emergency room. Visitor badges lose their access authorization after 24 hours. Anyone wearing an expired badge will need to re-register or leave the building.
Interpretation and Translation
Scottsdale Healthcare has trained, certified, dedicated Spanish medical interpreters, Sign language interpreters and translators who offer a variety of services to accommodate our patients and family members who have limited proficiency in English or are deaf or hard of hearing. They are available in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hospitals are required to provide effective means of communication for patients and their companions who have limited proficiency in English, are deaf or hard of hearing.
The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has a longstanding position that in order to avoid discrimination against a Limited English Proficiency (LEP) persons and/or patients who have disabilities affecting hearing, vision, of speech, health providers receiving Federal financial assistance must take adequate steps to ensure that these patients receive, free of charge, the language assistance necessary to afford them meaningful access to their services.

How does the Language Line ® Rover work?
The Rover sends signals to your facility's computer network, which are then transmitted thru secure network over the Internet to one of our Language Line Services video call centers.
When our call center sends communication back to the Rover, the patient and interpreter can see and hear each other.
